Fun Stuff

Cornerstone is privileged to have dedicated parent volunteers who may offer fun activities during the academic year for the benefit of Cornerstone students:

None of these activities are under the supervision of Cornerstone. They are provided by the parent volunteers who choose to participate. These functions serve to enrich students’ academic experience, and are only made possible by the generous support of willing parents.

Pizza Lunches

On the last Monday of each month, a group of mothers sells pizza to the kids. The proceeds from the sales help to support the year book. The kids really love pizza lunch days, and it is a great time of socialization.

School Pictures

School pictures are usually arranged by the yearbook coordinator each year.

Students are encouraged to dress nicely, as these are the photographs that will be used for the yearbook. Because of the background that is usually used, students might want to consider wearing lighter colored clothing.

Siblings are welcome to come and have their pictures taken as well.

Yearbook

Yearbook is designed for creative and ambitious students who have an interest in working to create long-term memories.

Yearbook offers the unique opportunity to become part of recording life at Cornerstone. Members of the Yearbook staff have the opportunity to make decisions about what goes into the yearbook.

In Yearbook you will gain valuable, real world experience such as setting goals, meeting deadlines, working as a team member, and dealing with the public.

The year begins by designing a unifying theme and working on what will be covered in the book, which is distributed the following May.

Yearbook students use both computers and paste ups to design all page layouts. They can learn about any and all of the processes in producing and publishing their yearbook, from business and sales, layout and production to photography and writing up interviews.

Get involved in making your memories last by participating in yearbook.

Graduation

Each year, a graduation ceremony is planned by a committee of parents and their graduating seniors to culminate and recognize the accomplishments achieved throughout their high school years. There will be a parent coordinator who will conduct monthly meetings for parents and graduates to plan the graduation with each parent and student responsible for some aspect of the graduation ceremony.

Roman Banquet

Each year the Latin students attend a Roman banquet.
