
Latin IV
Latin IV is offered in alternating school years. It will be offered in the 2009-2010 school year.
The Latin IV course is open to students who have successfully completed the first three years of Latin. Students will review Latin grammar and will concentrate on reading Latin authors. The first semester will include prose authors and the second semester will be a study of poetry. Authors studied may include Livy, Cicero, Phaedrus, Ovid and Virgil. Students will participate in the Roman banquet.
Text: Review Text in Latin Years Three and Four. (This text will be available for purchase from the tutor. Other texts used in the class will be available for borrow or purchase from the tutor).

Prerequisite for Latin 4
In order to take Latin IV at Cornerstone a student must have successfully
completed Latin III with Mrs. Clement, either at Cornerstone or in her Wednesday morning class. . If a student has taken Latin elsewhere he and
a parent must first meet with the tutor (Mrs. Clement) to determine whether the student is ready for Latin IV. The student
must be willing to complete any extra work over the summer that Mrs.
Clement thinks might be needed for him to take the class.
