Language Arts – Eighth Grade

This class is designed especially for 8th graders. It is a complete language arts class with special emphasis on grammar, mechanics, and composition with an eye towards preparing students for high school work. The class will also include work in reading comprehension and literature.  Students will read and study the novel Amos Fortune, Free Man and will study poetry, learning about interpretation and poetic devices.

Evan-More Publishing. I will be purchasing these in bulk for the class to get the best price. It will be available to each student for $4.00.


In addition, each student will need a 1.5 inch binder and a package of subject dividers. A Bible and a dictionary should be available at home when needed.


There will be a $10.00 copy fee which can be paid directly to the tutor when classes begin.
