Advanced Comp/Poetry Seminar
(Offered in Spring)
The focus of this course is college-style writing based upon fiction and poetry, combining the best of advanced composition skills with an in-depth look at poetry. Students will tackle the development of original ideas and learn to defend a position in an essay. Students should plan to come to class having completed the reading of Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. The textbook for this course is Literature: An Introduction to Reading and Writing, 6th edition, Prentice Hall, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. This text has fiction, poetry and drama in one volume.
