Advanced Mathematics

We will be learning Advanced Math (pre-Calculus) concepts under the adept tutelage of John Saxon. His incremental learning and constant review are effective in the learning of mathematical concepts. Students should have successfully completed Algebra 2 and Geometry before coming into this class. They will be asked to review/do Lessons 1-6 at the front of the book before coming to the first class. It is assumed they will know this material. We will use the Saxon Advanced Math: An Incremental Development, second edition (ISBN 1-56577-039-0). This is the latest edition and should be good for some years to come.

Students are required to have a scientific calculator.

A student must have successfully completed Algebra II and Geometry before taking Advanced Mathematics.
